Snoop Dogg to perform at 2015 SweetWater 420 Festival

ATLANTA -- Snoop Dogg, 311 and Cage the Elephant are among the artists scheduled to perform at the 2015 SweetWater 420 Festival.

The three-day celebration of music, the environment and, of course, SweetWater beer will be held Apr. 17-19 at Centennial Olympic Park.

Other acts in the lineup include Thievery Corporation, Primus, Slightly Stoopid, moe., Gov't Mule and Beats Antique. The festival will have two main stages and a separate area to highlight up and coming artists.

Next year's 420 Fest will also feature its Planet 420 environmental village, live comedy acts, food trucks and a local artists market.

Discounted three-day general admission passes and VIP "Big Fish" passes are currently on sale at sweetwater420fest.com. Reduced pricing will be available until Jan. 6.

Fulton County 4-H Fall Festival offers fun for the entire family

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Fulton County 4-H is hosting a Fall Festival on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Fulton Camp Truitt located at 4300 Herschel Road in College Park. Families will enjoy trick or treating, carnival games and crafts, a pumpkin push contest, a pumpkin ring toss, a bobbing for gummy bears contest, and many more fun activities. Everyone is encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

The Fall Festival is a good time to learn about 4-H and how the program positively  affect their lives by assisting them in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills, and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing members of society.

Atlanta BeltLine to host bicycle tour this weekend

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership will team up with the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition for a tour this weekend.

The 7th annual Atlanta BeltLine Bicycle Tour will be held Saturday, June 14. Staggered rides through the BeltLine's 45 neighborhoods will begin at 9 a.m. from the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark.

Riders have a choice of two tours: the full BeltLine, which is 27 miles long; and the East Meets West route -- 16 miles of some of the trail's most beautiful parks.

Advance registration is $30 for members of the Atlanta BeltLine or Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, and $35 for the general public. On-site registration opens at 8 a.m. and is $40 for members and $45 for non-members.

ATLANTA -- Have you ever considered starting your own home-based business? Fulton County Cooperative Extension will sponsor a free workshop on Starting a Home-Based Business on Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System’s Central Library, 1 Margaret Mitchell Square, Suite 109, Atlanta.

Participants will gain valuable information to help them start and maintain a successful home-based business. Specific topics will include how to identify fraud and scams billed as business opportunities, space and time needs, identifying factors that contribute to success and much more.

ATLANTA -- Fulton County Voters can “Vote and Vax” beginning Saturday, October 27, 2012.  Voters can cast their ballots and obtain their annual flu slots as a part of an effort to reduce the risk of flu among citizens.  Vote and Vax primarily targets adults aged 50 or older.
