ADOPT A PET: Meet Odie | Pets
Everyone knows that smaller dogs display in attitude what they lack in size, and Oddie is living proof.
In a truly heartwarming story, Oddie's story is quite unique. He was found running loose on I-85 where a woman stopped traffic to pick him up. His pregnant girlfriend was hit by a car and Oddie never left her side. She lost the puppies but survived and is now recovering in a foster home.
Odie is a very handsome 2 yrs old Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund mix who is housebroken and ready to go to a forever home. He is a little shy at first, but if you pick him up, he snuggles right into your arms. He is going to make a terrific family pet.
Come soon to meet Odie at the Georgia SPCA shelter because I'm sure that he will not last long. His adoption fee is $250. That includes spay/neuter surgery, disease testing (dogs testing positive for heartworms are treated; however, we do not add that charge to our adoption fee), up to date vaccinations, deworming, up to date flea/tick & heartworm prevention, a 24Petwatch microchip and 30 days of ShelterCare pet insurance.
The Georgia SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is a non-profit pet rescue organization located in Suwanee, GA. Their Mission is to reduce the number of healthy animals euthanized in the State of Georgia by implementing successful adoption programs, and offering low cost spay/neuter to the public, and by promoting responsible pet ownership.
As a no kill organization, all animals accepted by the Georgia SPCA are placed in an adoption center or foster home until suitable homes can be found.
Prior to adoption our pets are fully vetted, which includes updated vaccinations (including rabies), disease testing, treatment for heartworm (if necessary), flea and tick and heartworm prevention, spay or neuter, and micro-chip.
All animals are adopted with one month of free pet insurance.
They are located at 1175 Hwy 23 (Buford Hwy) Suite 109 in Suwanee, Georgia and are opened 7 days a week! Their operating hours are:
