SE ATL | Rapper charged with Slim Dunkin's murder waives first court appearance
ATLANTA -- The rapper accused of killing fellow rapper Slim Dunkin outside a southeast Atlanta recording studio has waived his first appearance in court.
Vinson Hardimon, also known as Young Vito, is charged with killing Slim Dunkin, whose real name was Mario Hamilton.
Hardimon turned himself in to Atlanta Police late Monday afternoon. He declined a court appearance Tuesday.
Hamilton was gunned down as he was preparing to record a video last Friday. Police said the 24-year-old was fatally shot in the chest after getting into an argument with Hardimon, reportedly over candy.
