A choir made up of homeless men will perform at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

A free concert unlike any other is set for this Sunday at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Downtown Atlanta.

Just days before the concert, choir practice is underway.

The Shrine's Music Director, Donal Noonan, has expectations.

"You guys are very stiff looking, can you relax?"

Noonan can be a bit of a task master.

"You gotta give me more on that last one. Okay sing that for me, me!"

Six months ago it was a far fetched notion, a choir of homeless men.

Noonan went ahead with his plan anyway. It's working.

We met Marvin, who told us, "I look forward to it. Tuesdays and Thursdays I look forward to coming here and busting my pipes open."

Marvin got a job.

We met Roosevelt who said, "Every homeless person's waking thought is to one day not be homeless, so for me, it's a constant thought."

Roosevelt is completing job training.

There are familiar faces, and new faces at choir practice.

The second ever concert for the Atlanta Homeward Choir is on Sunday. Practice is rigorous, choir is just two days away..practice is rigorous -- and the discipline it takes these men to create something beautiful is translating into their own lives.

"We're giving these people something to do because one, maybe they don't have something to do and it's something to do that builds themselves up. They're building themselves up they just don't realize they're doing that.

It's become a vessel for people to say i'm worthy of something."

The Fire and Faith concert is at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Shrine. It is free and open to the public.
