Braves get an early start at Turner Field

ATLANTA -- With the start of Spring Training just days away, some of the Braves can be found at Turner Field the next two weeks.  The annual Braves early pitching program is under way and will run until Monday, Febuary 4th.

As position players work away in the Turner Field indoor batting cages, including Jordan Schafer who is back for his second stint with the team.  Pitchers are working their arms indoors and outdoors in preparation for Spring Training at Disney World.

The Braves early pitching program is a team tradition and will be held on Friday, January 25th; Tuesday, January 29th; Thursday, January 31st; and Monday,February 4th.

On February 4th, the moving truck will load the team equipment and drive it to the Braves spring home at the ESPN Wide World Of Sports baseball complex.

Pitchers and catchers are set to arrive on February 11th, and begin workouts on February 12th.  The rest of the team is due to arrive on February 14th.  The first full squad workout will be on February 15th.
