Arrest made in Falcons post-game stabbing | News
ATLANTA -- Police have arrested the suspect they say is responsible for a stabbing after the Falcons took on the 49ers on Sunday.
According to Jason Kirksey, spokesman for the Georgia Dome, 46-year-old James Lewis McCoy was arrested around 1:15 Tuesday afternoon by the GWCC Authority Police Department.
The stabbing happened just moments after the game ended around 6:40 p.m., in the silver parking lot just outside the Dome. An altercation had broken out between McCoy and another man, who is in stable condition at Grady Hospital.
GWCCA investigators believe the argument started over food at a tailgate, and that neither man involved attended the game.
