Americans take easy victory over Angola in Women's Basketball | News
LONDON -- The Americans won big over Angola, 90-38 in Women's Basketball on Monday.
According to NBC Olympics, Candace Parker led the team with 14 points and 12 rebounds in a game that was expected to be an easy win.
Collins High graduate Maya Moore scored 11 points, while Angel McCoughtry of the Atlanta Dream brought in ten.
The Americans are 2-0 for 2012, and have won their last 35 straight Olympic matchups. Angola is still looking for their first win, according to NBC Olympics.
Angola was only ten points behind the Americans for the first quarter, then fell as the Americans dominated 19-6 in the second quarter. Parker picked up two reverse lay-ups.
The U.S. will take on Turkey in their next game, set to tip off on Wednesday, August 1 at 5:15 EST.
