Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Dan Uggla had three hits, including a go-ahead two-run single in the top of the eighth inning, lifting the Atlanta Braves past the Chicago Cubs, 3-1, in the second test of a three-game set.
Michael Bourn went 1-for-5, extending his hitting streak to 12 games, to go with a run scored for the Braves, who have won four of their last five games.
Kris Medlen (1-0) picked up the win with a 1-2-3 seventh inning, while Craig Kimbrel retired the side in order in the ninth to notch his 10th save of the season.
Alfonso Soriano was responsible for Chicago's lone run with an RBI double in the sixth.
