ATLANTA -- Members of the Atlanta Braves gathered at Turner Field Monday morning to unveil their new alternate weekend home uniform.
According to the Braves organization, this vintage uniform pays homage to the 1966 team's uniform. The uniforms are cream-colored and feature "traditional Braves script in red across the chest minus the tomahawk and a new logo patch on the left sleeve."
The new uniforms are considered "alternate home uniforms," which will be worn primarily on Saturdays and Sundays at home.

"We think these uniforms reflect the timeless tradition of Braves baseball," said Braves President John Schuerholz. "In honoring our past we retain a classic look yet move forward with an updated design."
Unlike the 1966 uniforms, these are crafted from a cool-based material not the traditional wool flannel.
The Braves say this is the first full uniform change since the current home white uniform was introduced in 1987.
