Program helps seniors to live independently as long as possible
Fulton County in partnership with the East Point Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORC) and Brenau University’s Occupational Therapy program invites seniors and caregivers to join them on February 15, 2012 for a presentation on home safety and assistive devices.
The 11:00 a.m. presentation will be held at the Peachtree City Christian Church Chapel at 1706 Washington Avenue in East Point, GA 30344. Registration will be available on site.
East Point Seniors can also take advantage of Occupational Therapist Home Evaluations during the month of February. The home evaluations provide seniors with in depth recommendations on ways to make their homes safer as well as allow them to remain independent in their own home for years to come.
The program is free for East Point seniors, age 60 and older. Seniors who qualify for the program are eligible to receive assistive devices or home modifications that may value up to 300 dollars.
For more information, contact NORC Program Coordinator Leslie Bridges at 404-762-2094.
