Atlanta Fire Stations 16 and 19 Host the 6th Annual FireED Up! Run/Walk for Higher Education

Atlanta, GA--  Atlanta Fire Rescue Department Fire Stations 16 and 19 are hosting the annual 5k race to help give scholarships to graduating seniors of Washington and Grady High Schools.

Through hosting the Christmas party at Fire Station 16, and the FirEd Up! 5K Race at Fire Station 19 many children have benefited from what have become anticipated annual events for the department.

R& B Artist Hosts Private Album Release Party at 595 North Avenue Last Night

Atlanta, GA--  8pm last night (9/13/10), hundreds of cars lined up on North Avenue trying to get an exclusive pass to see Trey Songz as he introduced the World to his latest album release. The new album entitled Passion, Pain & Pleasure is available today (Tuesday), but reviewed by a private audience last night at 595 North.

595 North is a small "event venue and lounge" near North avenue and Northside Dr. It boasts itself as being able to host business seminars, training sessions, private parties, fashion and art shows and much more.  The location was the perfect place to host hundreds of young ladies looking to see and hear their beloved Trey Songz offer intimate details about every track of his newest album.

Trey Songz received plenty of praise from his past album which had infamous radio and club hits like "I Invented Sex".

TI Performs at 19th Annual "For Sisters Only" Event

Atlanta, GA--  This past weekend saw the 19th annual For Sisters Only event held at Georgia World Congress Center. Celebrity performances included Fantasia, Keri Hilson, Eric Benet, El Debarge, Jazmine Sullivan, and TI.

TI did not enter the media press room and did not answer questions posed to him regarding his latest parole violation. While on stage he offered his thanks to his fans that continue to support him and promises to win back the support from those that have left him.

The Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) Foundation to Honor Arthur Blank Foundation

Atlanta, GA--  Stephanie and Arthur Blank and The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation will be honored for exemplary support for public education and Georgia’s youth at the 2010 “A PAGE Turning Event” to be held September 16, 2010, at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta.  This marks the sixth year of the elegant event sponsored by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) Foundation.

Atlanta Celebrities Set to Fundraise for Grady Hospital on Sept. 10th

Atlanta, GA--  Atlanta celebrities are joining forces with Grady Hospital to support a new grassroots fundraising campaign designed to inspire community giving and increase awareness for Atlanta's only Level I Trauma Center.
Jermaine Dupri, DJ Drama, Frank Ski, Rashan Ali, Chilli from TLC, Kandi ("Real Housewives of Atlanta"), Bobby Valentino and songwriter Cristyle will become ambassadors of "G2G" or "Give to Grady," a campaign set to launch Friday, September 10, at 12:30 p.m. EST with a mass messaging event on Twitter and Facebook.
Fans will be encouraged to text "GRADY" to 50555 to donate $5 to one of Atlanta's oldest healthcare facilities. Supporters can also make their donation at www.gradyhealthfoundation.org.

Atlanta Police Department Announces Newly Re-Formed GLBT Advisory Board ahead of PRIDE Weekend

Atlanta, GA-- Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta kicksoff the largest Black Gay Pride celebration in the world.  Ahead of the event, the Atlanta Police Department recently announced the nine members of its Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgendered (GLBT) Advisory Board. The board will serve as a critical link between the APD and the GLBT community, assisting the department in better understanding its public safety needs.

“One of my priorities on becoming chief was to repair the relationships and build the trust we had lost in various communities over the years,” said Atlanta Police Chief George Turner. “We recognize the importance of the GLBT community all over Atlanta, and want to make sure we are listening to their concerns.
