Noche Flamenco Kicks Off Rialto Center's 2010-11 Season

Atlanta, GA--  Georgia State University’s Rialto Center for the Arts will kick off its 2010-11 series this weekend with a flamenco performance that is an example of the exciting international events planned for this season.

Atlanta, GA--  Over 8,000 are expected to participate in the Atlanta Partnership Run/Walk to demonstrate their support for ending global poverty. Partnership Walk, now in its 16th year, is an event held annually in major cities across the U.S.

A Taste of Canada

Georgia will Kick-Off its Annual State-Wide Red Ribbon Campaign 10/21 at Centennial Park

Atlanta, GA--  The Red Ribbon Campaign kick-off signals the start of Red Ribbon activities held October 23 - 30. All are invited to participate.  Last year the event drew more than 500 students from across the state. The festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Centennial Park’s Southern Co. Amphitheater, across the street from the CNN Center.

STEVE HARVEY BRINGS SHERRI SHEPHERD AMONG OTHERS TOGETHER TO MENTOR 100 TEENAGE GIRLS IN ATLANTA

Atlanta, GA--  A team of inspirational women join The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation to host the first-annual Girls Who Rule the World (“GWRTW”) Mentoring Weekend, dedicated to help teenage girls from diverse backgrounds successfully navigate the pressures and pitfalls of teenage life.

On October 22-24, 100 teenage girls will gather with Marjorie Harvey, The View co-host, Sherri Shepherd, and other trusted female business leaders and entertainers - including singer Keri Hilson, actress Terri Vaughn, Essence magazine’s Mikki Taylor, and CBS News Correspondent Shannon Eis - at the Omni CNN Center in Atlanta, GA for three-days of interactive seminars designed to motivate girls, and equip them with resources and education needed to be successful.
