ATLANTA -- The Children’s Museum of Atlanta invites families to ring in the New Year with a full month of PLAY! With special events and educational programs featuring Black History Month, Holidays Around the Word, Toddler Book Club and more, children can start the year off right – through the power of play! Below is a schedule of exhibit information and special programming for January 2014.

ATLANTA -- Families have the opportunity to make sense of cents a little longer!

The Children’s Museum of Atlanta announced today it has extended the dates for its feature traveling exhibit Moneyville through Tuesday, January 14. With highly interactive activities, games and simulations, children can build essential problem-solving skills and learn priceless lessons in money management. Grab the whole family and explore finance in a fun way! Entrance to the exhibit is included in each regular admission to The Children’s Museum of Atlanta. Admission is $12.75 (+tax). Children under 1 are free.

Children’s Museum of Atlanta to hold Amuse’um benefit

ATLANTA -- Why should kids get to have all the fun? The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is setting the stage for a whimsical, adult-only evening for its 11th annual Amuse’um fundraiser on Feb. 22.

The signature event supports the Museum’s mission to spark imagination and inspire discovery and learning for children through the power of play. Honoring Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, this year’s fundariser is themed "Amuse’um -- Hop … Skip … Jump Around the World!" and invites guests to experience a night of global fun, festivities and fare.

ATLANTA -- Presented By OOMBA (97 Peachtree St. SW), at “THE STADIUM” on  New Year’s Eve 2013.  The Official Sport of Rap Battling Festival will run at 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. directly down the street from the Annual Peach Drop, streaming live on OOMBA.TV. Sponsors include AKG by Harmon the Official Microphone Sponsor (@AKGaudio), Vlado Footwear (@VladoFootwear), and Atlanta Pro Audio.  

BATTLE MANIA will give the community an opportunity to witness some of Atlanta’s most prolific Hip Hop artists, dancers, Deejays, and Producers battle it out to see will who reign champion of 2013’s BATTLE MANIA!

ATLANTA -- Children and families in need and outstanding students will be the focus of a “Community Cares” Christmas Celebration on Friday, December 20, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  The event will feature distribution of toys, clothing, non-perishable items and recognition of students who have demonstrated academic excellence and perfect attendance.  Community partners supporting the event with entertainment, food, resources and giveaways include Fulton County Housing and Human Services Department, Office of Children and Youth, V103 FM, Music Education Group (MEG), Treasure Chest, Inc., and other caring sponsors.
