Children’s Museum of Atlanta to hold Amuse’um benefit

ATLANTA -- Why should kids get to have all the fun? The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is setting the stage for a whimsical, adult-only evening for its 11th annual Amuse’um fundraiser on Feb. 22.

The signature event supports the Museum’s mission to spark imagination and inspire discovery and learning for children through the power of play. Honoring Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, this year’s fundariser is themed "Amuse’um -- Hop … Skip … Jump Around the World!" and invites guests to experience a night of global fun, festivities and fare.

To set the scene for the evening, The Children’s Museum of Atlanta will be transformed into a magical, cultural mecca, where guests and patrons will be able to enjoy cocktails inspired from around the world and indulge in international cuisine. Amuse’um will also feature entertaining activities, exhilarating auctions, live music and dancing to the Latin beats of Orchestra MaCuba. Dedicated museum friends Barbarella Diaz, Jeri Moran and Abby Perez are serving as event chairs.

The annual event attracts a diverse crowd of more than 600 business professionals from across the greater Atlanta area, who come together to celebrate Atlanta’s only children’s museum. All proceeds support the Children’s Museum of Atlanta’s early childhood educational programming and community outreach that touches the lives of more than 200,000 children and families annually. Serving the children, families and schools in Atlanta and throughout Georgia, the Museum has welcomed nearly 2 million visitors since opening in 2003.
