Children’s Museum of Atlanta builds anticipation for Amuse’um 2015

ATLANTA -- The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is gearing up for its 12th annual Amuse’um fundraiser – set for Saturday, Feb. 28.

Presented by Georgia Natural Gas, this signature, adults-only benefit honors Children at Play and supports the museum’s mission to spark imagination and inspire discovery and learning for all children through the power of play.

This year’s fundariser, themed Amuse’um 2015: Under Construction, is a playful take on the development of children’s minds as they “Dream, Design and Build.” Guests are invited to come together for this annual benefit to celebrate Atlanta’s only children’s museum, and experience a dynamite night of fun, festivities and fare!

To set the scene for the evening, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta will be transformed into a booming construction worksite with loads of entertaining activities. Patrons will be able to grab a hardhat and join the museum crew to dig into hand-crafted cocktails, cuisine and more.

Amuse’um will also feature live music, dancing and exhilarating live and silent auctions, including grandstand seats for the 2015 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; a 7-night Hawaii vacation; a Sonoma winery getaway; an exclusive, intimate dinner at Kyma for up to 10 people with Chef Pano Karatassos; and many more!

Dedicated Museum supporters Carlton Hudson and Caroline Smith are serving as the 2015 event chairs. Other committee members include Anthony Balloon, Kristin Cravens, Barbarella Diaz, Jordan Mai, Kavita Mistry and Abby Perez.

This annual event attracts a diverse crowd of more than 500 attendees from across the greater Atlanta area, who contributes to the ongoing and important work of the Museum. All proceeds support the museum’s early childhood educational programming and community outreach that touches the lives of more than 200,000 children and families annually.
