WHAT:

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed will present Atlanta’s strategic service plan, Forward Together, a call to action designed to engage and empower Atlanta’s citizens through service. Made possible by a Cities of Service leadership grant funded jointly by the Rockefeller Foundation and Bloomberg Philanthropies, Forward Together outlines the Mayor’s vision to mobilize Atlanta’s large volunteer base to meet what he describes as the City’s greatest needs: “to develop our youth and beautify our communities.”

In addition to the Mayor’s presentation of the strategic service plan, there will be a volunteer organization fair held in City Hall’s atrium between 9am and 1pm.  The fair will allow Atlanta organizations who support the city’s new “Forward Together” service plan to provide constituents with information about their upcoming service opportunities.
