MOSAIC Group Wins Guildmaster Award for Customer Service

Metro Atlanta-based MOSAIC Group [Architects and Remodelers] has been awarded a 2013 Guildmaster Award for exceptional customer service. The company is owned by William Fadul and Rick Goldstein. GuildQuality, an independent customer satisfaction surveying company, has powered the Guildmaster Award since 2005 to celebrate service excellence in the building, remodeling, contracting, and home services professions.

Over the past few months, GuildQuality reviewed numerous survey responses submitted by clients of Guildmaster candidates. In granting awards, GuildQuality considers two primary metrics for each candidate: the percentage of customers who would recommend and the percentage of customers who responded. MOSAIC Group achieved a recommendation rate of greater than 90 percent from their customers, who were surveyed through GuildQuality.

ATLANTA  – Morgan Stanley announced today that Ron Hart, a Managing Director, Wealth Advisor in the Firm’s Atlanta office, has been named to Barron’s annual list of America’s Top 100 Financial Advisors.

The “Barron’s Top 100 Financial Advisors” is a select group of individuals who are screened on a number of criteria. Among factors the survey takes into consideration are assets under management, revenue produced for the Firm and quality of service provided to clients. Investment performance is not an explicit criterion.

Coke plans major expansion of Fla. orange groves

AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The Coca-Cola Co. says it will invest $2 billion to support the planting of 25,000 acres of new orange groves in Florida.

The announcement was made at a news conference late Tuesday morning at Coca-Cola's production plant in Auburndale. Coke owns the Minute Maid and Simply Juice brands.

The president of Coca-Cola Americas says 5 million orange trees will be planted. Steve Cahillane says the new groves are believed to be the largest addition in the state in at least 15 years. They will be located in Polk, DeSoto and Hendry counties in central Florida.

Company officials say the new groves and resulting juice production for Coca-Cola will add about 4,100 jobs to Florida's economy.

Coke plans new offices downtown

ATLANTA -- Coke is planning on a huge new office space downtown.

Our partners at the Atlanta Business Chronicle report Coke is in the final steps of leasing a big chunk of the SunTrust Plaza. 

The 250,000 square feet of offices would house about 1,000 jobs, most of them in Information Technology.

Coca-Cola would mark the largest downtown office lease since the American Cancer Society relocated seven years ago.

Four Metro Atlanta Caribou Coffee stores closing April 14

ATLANTA -- Coffee retailer Caribou Coffee said Monday they were closing four locations in metro Atlanta on April 14 as part of a larger set of store closings.

The company said it will close 80 locations nationally, and convert another 88 locations to Peet's Coffee locations, including the company's remaining nine stores in metro Atlanta.

The local stores that will be closing will be the locations on North Druid Hills Road, the Norcross store on Peachtree Parkway, and both Marietta locations -- on Powers Ferry Road and on Johnson Ferry Road.

The chain, America's second largest coffee chain behind Starbucks, was acquired in December 2012 by Joh. A. Benckiser, the German company which also recently acquired the West Coast coffee chain Peet's.

UHY Advisors, Inc. today announced it will begin offering training classes for the highly regarded Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification. The certification is offered through the Project Management Institute (PMI), which sets the standards for project management. UHY is offering business professionals a chance to enroll at a 25 percent discount, and open enrollment is underway.  In addition, CPAs participating in this training are eligible to receive up to 32 hours of CPE credits.  The first set of classes will be held in Atlanta from April 15 – April 17.  Subsequent training sessions will be held in Michigan and Texas later in the year.
