Councilman Kwanza Hall partners with Auburn Curb Market to Deliver Holiday Joy

For the second year in a row, Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall is partnering with the Sweet Auburn Curb Market to deliver decorated trees and baskets of fresh produce to families in Council District 2 who could use some extra joy during the holiday season.

And thanks to a partnership with Bicycle Tours of Atlanta www.biketoursatl.com, Hall is pleased to announce that trees donated to families with children between the ages of 10 and 18 will include bicycle ornaments that can be redeemed for free bikes and helmets after each child completes a three-hour bicycle education course.

Councilmember Kwanza Hall and Atlanta Police Department Zone 5 Commander Khirus Williams, two of Santa’s faithful helpers, will personally deliver the decorated Trees of Joy on December 22, with the help of Zipcar www.zipcar.com.

World Congress Center Approves Football Hall of Fame Location

ATLANTA -- The Georgia World Congress Center Authority voted unanimously Tuesday to negotiate with Atlanta Hall Management Inc. to locate the College Football Hall of Fame on the Georgia World Congress Center's 2.7-acre Green Parking Lot.

The lot is adjacent to Building A on Marietta Street across from Centennial Olympic Park.

Atlanta Hall Management's board of directors will meet Wednesday to discuss and likely vote on the proposed location.

Atlanta Hall Management and the GWCC Authority, which oversees operations of the convention center, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park, have been discussing the use of the Geen Lot site for the College Football Hall of Fame for about six months, said Frank Poe, GWCC executive director.
