ATLANTA -- Ten firms have applied to provide architectural and design services for the proposed retractable stadium to replace the Georgia Dome, according to Falcons and Georgia World Congress Center documents.
The Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company, LLC, and the Georgia World Congress Center Authority recently issued a Request for Qualifications for Architectural and Design Services for the proposed new stadium project.
The current deal for a new stadium calls for about $300 million in hotel/motel taxes to be used to help pay off a new stadium's billion-dollar construction loan. The Falcons would pay about $700 million. To get the loan, the state would have to raise the Congress Center's credit limit.
The firms, according to Falcons and Georgia World Congress Center documents, are:
*360 Architecture
*AECOM
*Eisenman Architects
*Ewing Cole
*HKS Inc.
*Populous
*RGC Stadium Design
*Rosetti
*TVS Design/Heery/Gensler
*Woods Bagot
