Atlanta, GA--  The Georgian Terrace Hotel, known as Atlanta's Modern Classic, is now one of a few hotels in the country that is bicycle friendly.  Due to the rise and popularity of Green initiatives, and the fact that health conscious guests are looking for adventure, exercise, and/or a place that can accommodate their bikes, The Georgian Terrace has started a partnership with Bicycle Tours of Atlanta.

The hotel offers three options of bicycle tours – with something for every taste.  The bicycle tours include one-of-a-kind options:

  • Historic Bicycle Tour:  Visit Atlanta’s beautiful in-town neighborhoods, historic sites and hidden jewels.  Available Friday through Sunday through November 28.  9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 10 miles.
  • Holiday Lights Bicycle Tour:  Enjoy the festive sites of Woodruff Park, Underground Atlanta, Fairlie Poplar and stroll through Centennial Park’s “Holiday in Lights” extravaganza.  Available December 17 – 19 & 26 – 30, 7:30 – 9 p.m., 5 miles.  Recommended for guests 16 years and older.
  • Atlanta Love Stories Bicycle Tour:  Learn about Atlanta’s most famous couples and the goofy things people do in the name of love.  Available Feb 12 & 13, 19 & 20, 26 & 27, 1 – 4 p.m., 10 miles.

Guests with bicycle commuting experience can also rent bikes and have them delivered to the hotel for alternative transportation - ideal for business travelers who want an eco-friendly way to get to their next meeting or for tourists who want to explore the city in an unusual way.  The hotel welcomes guests who bring in their own bicycles, and allows storage in the guest rooms. Rates for an overnight stay and bicycle tour start at $205 per night.
