Fulton County Gives Free Preventive Health Services for Adults at 2 Atlanta Clinics

Atlanta, GA--  SPARC Atlanta (Sickness Prevention Achieved through Regional Collaboration) clinics will bring preventive health services to Fulton County communities beginning Thursday, October 7, 2010.  The 2 remaining dates are November 3rd and 4th. 

SPARC Atlanta is an innovative approach to increasing preventive health care service use among underserved persons.  The clinics specifically target low-income older adults.

SPARC clinics are much more than health fairs.  Citizens who visit SPARC clinics take advantage of more than a dozen health screenings and education.  The clinics provide referrals when appropriate and track the actions and progress of those who attend.  Recognized as an evidence-based practice, SPARC has been replicated in different areas of the U.S.
