ASCAP Songwriter Residency @ America SCORES Continues to Inspire Kids in Underserved Neighborhoods | Schools
Atlanta, GA-- Atlanta native and Grammy nominated songwriter Chris Henderson has made hits for R.Kelly, Jamie Foxx & Trey Songz amongst others and will be visiting Stevens Park Elementary in Atlanta to teach kids in the local community about music, songwriting and recording.
Part of the ASCAP Songwriter Residency @ America Scores, it is a songwriting mentorship that inspires inner city youth to engage more creatively with the arts and understand what they actually hear on the radio and all around them.
Chris Henderson will collaborate with a group of 3rd to 5th grade students.
The classroom sessions will take place at Carter G. Woodson Elementary on December 1 and 2, 2010, followed by a recording session at Icon Studios on December 6, 2010.
Chris "Deep" Henderson, recognized as one of the top 20 hot R&B/Hip-Hop producers by Billboard Magazine, has produced and written on several platinum and multi-platinum albums and soundtracks for artists like Jamie Foxx ("Blame It"), R Kelly ("The Greatest Sex"), Trey Songz ("Be Where You Are") and many others. At the 2010 Grammy Awards, Jamie Foxx's "Blame It", written and produced by Henderson, won "Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group." Living and working in Atlanta, Henderson is currently in the studio collaborating with new, up and coming acts.
