Welcome to Atlanta Judo Midtown, a conveniently located dojo dedicated to enhancing judo skills for all levels. Our technically-oriented classes offer direct instruction by Head Coach Amarilis Savon Carmenate - World Champion and 3 x's Olympic Medalist. Sensei Dennis Scheib - Shichidan, the only US Masters player in America to hold 10 contested World medals, including 7 gold World Masters Championships; Sensei R. Matthew Scheib – Nidan, and Sensei Willard Jule – Yodan. Visiting instructors include IJF A level referee, Sensei Gary Berliner – Shichidan, and Sensei Gregory Gotlin – Yodan, among others.

In addition to judo, we offer classes in HaganaH, the Fierce Israeli Guerila Hand to Hand Tactics (F.I.G.H.T.), judo for grapplers focusing on takedown techniques, law enforcement training, and children's judo.

Atlanta Judo Midtown has become the home for international judo in Atlanta, with instructors and competitors from Korea, Cuba, Romania, Germany, Africa, France, Brazil and Italy among others.

Our spacious, open facility features spring-loaded mats for safety. Whether you want to stay physically active, study Kodokan or Olympic techniques, or train for competitive tournaments, Atlanta Judo Midtown has it all. Workouts are designed to maximize the individual's performance and needs.
